what creates happiness?
this is the forum question i have to answer for my english final. my english final is comprised of an essay and a socratic seminar, in which, i have to be jay gatsby from the great gatsby. i thought this question would be easy to answer but i was quite wrong!
what creates true lasting happiness? does anyone know?
thesis: society has led us to believe that happiness can be achieved by attaining the american dream and by chasing things we want in life. this has been proven wrong through the character, jay gatsby. true lasting happiness can be achieved by having real friends, by living your life for yourself, and by not having to change yourself for someone else’s wants and needs.
